Born on February 4, 1960, and raised in the Bronx, she is no stranger to
adversity. Ruth J. Miro does not take life "sitting down" and has embarked
on the road less traveled.
With her mother's guidance and encouragement, Ruth discovered that anything
is possible. Her understanding of the motto "one person can make a
difference," is shown through her consistent efforts.
As
the founder of RJMiro, and the creative inventor of personalized
paper rings, she learned early on that in order to succeed in life, you must
be dedicated, focused, and fearless.
Living her life through purpose, is her biggest contribution to society.
Her career path is primarily expressed by a need to "give back" and
to change the mindset of the way African Americans buy and sell.
As she states, " I would like to see more African American stores buying and
selling African American products."
In
support of her unique product and charitable contributions, she has received
acknowledgements from colleges, networking associations, newspapers,
magazines, radio and television. Her certificates and notable
recognitions include: Empire Who's Who, Manchester Who's Who, and
Wall of Tolerance; for her "public stand against hate, injustice and
intolerance, and those leading the way toward a more just America.
Using the same determination that sparked her idea to create paper rings,
she will continue on her journey and touch people's lives. Her passion
and business savvy is an inspiration for all African American entrepreneurs.
Visionary, inventive, and inspiring are a few words to describe her.
As a mover and a shaker, she is always moving forward...in action. She
goes wherever the mission takes her.
